Kiran Sham Idnani also known as Kusum Sandeep Gaikwad after marriage, has become India's first woman to deliver triplets through IVF .
Two boys and 1 girl were delivered at Sai Shree hospital in Aundh PUNE by a team of doctors led by Dr Girish Pote on the 13/12/2018.
Two of them were take home babies born healthy but the third baby boy weighed only 1300 grams and was kept at the NICU in Jupiter hospital for 10 days.
Today he is a healthy active baby weighing over 5 kilos at 3 months of age.
The team at Sai Shree led by Dr Yashwant Mane and Dr Girish Pote said they advised the mother to reduce a baby due to complications that a triplet pregnancy come with, but the mother was adamant to continue which they insisted was rare.
Mrs Kusum Sandeep Gaikwad, when questioned said it was god's gift to her and she was sure her body would permit her to carry them to term as she had with her Do Girish Pote who is the best IVF specialist ever. He takes care of the tiniest detail and never took any of my queries lightly.
Also the other IVF centers in PUNE seem to be more a business.
I went through an IVF cycle at Morpheus run by Dr Meenu Agarwal and I never met Dr Meenu until the embryo implanting day. That also only when I was taken into the operation theater. Before that all we met were a group of ladies at reception whose sole interest was that we should pay 2,50,000 rupees.
A young lady doctor in Morpheus PUNE,checked my ovaries for a few days to see how many eggs I had ovulated. Even at that time she said they were very few due to age, yet Dr Meenu Agarwal was never consulted. Of course it resulted in failure and 2,50,000 rupees down the drain.
This was in 2014 and Sandeep,her husband said they gave up on the Ivf matter. Infact they stopped thinking about it until one day they changed upon an interview on you tube about infertility/IVF and Dr Yashwant Mane who is an IVF expert. Out of curiosity he booked an appointment at Sai Shree Hospital and as he says his wife actually went along with him to satisfy him.
They met Dr Girish Pote who they found to be the most sincere and simple and down to earth person ever and as it was at half the price they had paid earlier they thought of giving it a chance.
Says Kusum aka Kiran that on every visit it was the main doctor himself who attended her with Dr Yashwant Mane also coming from Nagpur a couple of times a month to examine her.
Each Sonography session was discussed between the two doctors and there was no hurry what so ever to pay money etc.
Everything was focussed on results and an invitation cycle was in fact postponed a month as the doctors found my uterus lining too thin. They are so perfect in what they want so I feel that us the reason for this tremendous success.
I have friends from Europe coming down for the IVF process from them as the results are there for all to see.
